A positive change

Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging millions of children across 64 different countries, making it the largest schools programme in the world. Their team came to us wanting a simple to navigate, clear, concise website. With multiple target audiences, the team felt the look and feel of the existing website needed modernising to engage with them more effectively and it was of course a priority to make it mobile friendly.

The new website would help empower schools and children to make positive changes too.

An engaging journey

Part of the brief was to create a unique and engaging identity for Eco-Schools to help increase the brand reach. The target audience is not just the education sector at LEAs and schools, but also potential partners that can offer advice and support on the alternative supplies a school can source to help become more sustainable.

We also needed to carefully plan navigation and user experience. Over time the previous website resources had expanded and created a labyrinth of information that had become difficult for users to find.

We needed to strip back unnecessary content in order to simplify the navigation and the make the users journey through the site more effective.

Celebrating success

The extensive database of schools that have achieved the Bronze, Silver and Green award is now searchable in a modern intuitive map. With a custom filter built in to the website, schools can be viewed on the map and promoted when they achieve the next level reward or renew their existing status, helping celebrating their success.

With over 17,00 entries in the database, Eco-Schools wanted to show the reach their campaigns have in both the UK and at UK international schools.
