Brand is so important to any organisation or company, it’s the emotional differentiator. We give it a lot of care and attention to make sure we get it just right.
There are two key areas in brand that we offer:
- Brand Strategy (the strategic thinking)
- Visual Identity (the visual aspect to the brand) including Logo Design
Brand Strategy
There’s a lot to consider before our brand and graphic team pick up their magic markers!
We like to create the building blocks for any brand by taking a strategic approach, this typically involves consultation ‘brand kick off’ meeting followed by a workshop which helps cultivate ideas for a final brand strategy document.
Brand Visual Identity
Identity is the visual brand, it’s the embodiment of all the intelligence gathered from strategy and distilled into gorgeous graphics that are perfectly crafted from the brand DNA.
Visual identity can be many things but typically it is colours, fonts, illustrations, photographic style all combined with a visual tone and copywriting tone that creates a consistent look and feel across all mediums.
The visual identity is a toolkit of graphic assets that can then be used to develop advertising, websites, brochures leaflets, videos and more.
How we build your brand…
Wondering how we start and how you get involved in the design process? At Carbon Creative, we keep it simple but strategic. It’s not just about making something visually compelling; it also needs to meet measurable success criteria. Here’s a quick overview of how we work together:
Initial contact
Reach out by phone or email, and we’ll gather all the essentials from you. This helps us understand your needs and check if the project aligns with our skills and your budget expectations.
Brand / Design Kick-off Meeting
Next, we’ll meet face-to-face (or virtually!) for a brand kick-off consultation. This session is packed with insights that help us estimate timelines and fees. You’ll share your ideas, colour preferences, and even what you don’t like. Once we’ve got a good grasp, we dive into research, concept creation, and visual design. These initial designs are then sent to you for feedback.
Project Quote & Schedule
We’ll quote the project, and once you give the green light, we’ll set up a basic schedule to keep everything on track for both sides.
Collaborative Tools
We set you up with collaborative tools like Basecamp (for project management) and Marker.io (for design feedback), making communication smooth and easy.
We listen carefully to your feedback, offer expert advice on design choices, and fine-tune the visuals. Through a process of revisions and refinement, your brand naturally takes shape into its final form.
Who owns the intellectual property?
You and us, if you request intellectual property ownership and everything is completed we can offer to release full intellectual property rights upon final cleared payment. We reserve the right to feature the work in our portfolio and any self-promo material. If our work is featured elsewhere, a simple credit will do!
We can also offer trademarking advice and services to further protect the work from infringements and copy cats.
What if we don’t like the design work?
It’s rare, but sometimes you may simply not immediately warm to the creative work we do for you. Branding and design are subjective and iterative processes. Sometimes we nail it right out of the gate, other times it can take a number of discussions and design submissions before we evolve to the final concept. Ultimately, we always ensure our clients walk away satisfied and we feel comfortable that we have put out a job that meets our own high standards within the confines of the timescale, brief and budget provided.
